Impact of the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (Alayhis Asalam)

‘Blood rained from the sky when the Shahaadah of Imaam Hussain took place’

It is reported that when Imam al-Hussain was killed, the sky rained down blood. (Nadra al-Azdiya, a woman who was contemporary with Imam al – Hussain (AS), is said to have reported: “When al-Hussain b. ‘Ali was killed, the sky rained down blood, so that next morning we found our wells and water jugs filled with it.” This hadith is narrated by Ibn Hajar. )

Ummul Fadhl the daughter of al-Harith said that she entered on the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and she said: “Oh! Messenger of Allah, I saw a strange dream last night. He said: And what is it? She said: It was difficult. He said: And what is it? She said: I saw, as if, a piece of your body was severed and was put in my lap! The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: You saw well – Fatima will give birth, God willing, a boy so he will be in your lap. Then Fatima gave birth to al-Hussain and he was in my lap – just as the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said. So I entered one day on the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and put him in his lap, but I noticed that the eyes of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) pouring tears! So I said: Oh! Prophet of Allah, my parents are your ransom, what is with you? He said: Gabriel (AS) came to me and informed me that my nation (ummah) will kill this son of mine.” (al-Mustadrak al-Sahih, al-Hafidh al-Hakim al-Nisapouri, v. 3, p. 176, (al-Hakim said: “This is an authentic hadith (Sahih) on the conditions of Bukhari and Muslim but they did not print it”); Dalael al-Nubouwa, al-Hafidh al-Bayhaqi under the subject of al-Hussain (AS); Cf. Ibn al-A’tham IV, (Hyderabad, 1971), p. 211-2, the author narrates this hadith using a different chain of narration).

The Diminishing of Political Standards

The Diminishing of the Prophets (Sall’Allahu Ta’ala Alayhi Wa’alihi Was’sallam) Political Standards

prophet-saws.jpg

We try our best to speak the meanings of Allah and His Prophet as relevant and as pertinent as these meanings are to reality and the truth of life around us. The reality that has been taking shape in this life around us in the past months and years is closing in on many of us in a way that we need to understand Allah and His Prophet better. It’s alright- this maybe the coldest day in the season, bear, with me even though it is not recommended to expose ourselves to an in climate weather more then is necessary. Brothers and sisters- a word of truth and honesty- what is meant for us, by the powers that be, is that we be split along sectarian and racial lines. These are the programs that are in progress that will impact tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of Muslims in a detrimental way if we continue to be withdrawn from Protective words of Allah and the guiding direction of His Prophet. We spent a good number of months, probably over a year, in trying to explain some of the roots that lay at the foundations of today’s intra-Islamic psychology. Because of the atmospherics and the social engineering that is imposed upon us by those who have power, maybe we are going to have to take something like a crash sequence of khutbahs to gain a little immunity to the sectarian bug that they want to contaminate our body with and infect our health with. The Muslim public has been for so long withdrawn from some of the basic elements that constitute a healthy Islamic mindset and psychology. Allah’s Prophet came to his people and to the rest of the people with a book- a scripture that in one sense can be reduced to a couple or few words: tawheed, Adl- the acknowledgement of Allah without any derivatives, competitors and parallels and the acknowledgement of the human condition as one defined by justice. Image of the Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam)

 jalimubarik-large.jpg

Imam’Allamah Mahmud al- Alusi Rehmatullahi ‘Alaih mentions in Tafsir Ruh al Ma’ani:

After the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam) had passed away the Companions, used to go to the House of his beloved wife Hazrath Maimuna (Radi Allahu anha), to look at a mirror utilized by the beloved Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam) that she had kept safely. In this mirror they did not see themselves but the image of the beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam).

The mirror had refused to let go of the image of the beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Mujtaba (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa Sallam).

Ruh al-Ma’ani: The full name of this tafseer is ‘Ruh al-Ma’ani fi Tafseer al-Quran al-’Azim wa al-Sab al-Mathani’ and it was written by ‘Allamah Mahmud al-Alusi Rehmatullahi ‘Alaih, the famous scholar of the last Period of Baghdad, and comprises of thirty volumes.

Origin of Milad an-Nabi (‘alayhis salam)

 mawlid.jpg

(For those that say the current traditions Mawlid was invented centuries after the passing away from this world of the Holy Prophet (Sall’Allahu Ta’ala Alayhi Wa’alihi Wa’sallam), should look at this piece, especially the dates)

The beginning of the celebration of the Meelad Shareef in its present form lies with the ruler of Irbil, Sultan Muzaffar whose full name is Abu Said Kukabri Ibn Zain al-Din Ali Ibn Baktagin, who is counted among the great Sultans and generous leaders. He was responsible for many other noble works as well. Among the many monuments set up by him was the Jami Muzaffari, which he had constructed near Mount Tasiyun.

Ibn Kathir (radi Allahu anhu) writes about Sultan Muzaffar as follows: “Sultan Muzaffar used to arrange the celebration of the Meelad Shareef with due honour, glory, dignity and grandeur. In this connection, he used to organise a magnificent festival. He was a pure-hearted, brave and wise Alim and a just ruler. May Allah shower His Mercy on him and grant him an exalted status. Sheikh Abu al-Khattab Ibn Dhiyah also wrote a book for him on the Meelad Shareef entitled ‘al-Tanwir fi Mawlid al-Bashir al-Nadhir’ (Enlightenment on the Birthday of the Bearer of Good News, the Warner). For this book Sultan Muzaffar awarded him a gift of one thousand dinars. Sultan Muzaffar remained the ruler until his death, which occurred in 630 A.H. in the city of ‘Akka when he had the Europeans under siege. In short he was a man of piety and noble disposition”.

Sibt Ibn al-Jauzi (radi Allahu anhu) wrote in “Mir’at al-Zaman” that Read the rest of this entry »

The Beloved (Sallal Lahu Alaihi Wa Salam) – 3

We used to consider miracles as Allah’s Blessings, but you people consider them to be a warning. Once we were with Allah’s Apostle (Sall’Allahu Ta’ala Alayhi Wa’alihi Wa’sallam)  on a journey, and we ran short of water. He said, “Bring the water remaining with you.” The people brought a utensil containing a little water. He placed his hand in it and said, “Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah.” I saw the water flowing from among the fingers of Allah’s Apostle (Sallal Lahu Alaihi Wa Salam), and no doubt, we heard the meal glorifying Allah, when it was being eaten (by him). (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 779)

Durood Shareef

Reading this Durood Sharif 80 times after the Fard of the Asr prayer on Friday. Before standing up it results in 80 years sawaab recorded for the individual and 80 years of sins forgiven by Allah Tallah. A sacrifi ce of about fi ve minutes every week can lead to such blessings from Allah Almighty.

ALLAHUMA SALLE ALA SAI-YE-DE-NA MUHAMMADINNINNA BEY-YIL UMMIY-YE WA ALA AALE HE WASSALLIM TASSLEEMA.

O’Allah send blessings upon Muhammad (Sall’Allahu Ta’ala Alayhi Wa’alihi Wa’sallam) our chief the unlettered Apostle, and send blessings upon his family, and Thy favours and Thy salutations.

Advice from the Heart of a Sufi Master

March 18 2007, LA California USA. Shaykh Hisham Kabbani Speaks to an audiance of over 500 attendents at the Senshin Buddhist Temple. There were christians, Jews, Buddist and Muslims in the audiance.

Why don’t we see this sort of thing in the mass media. The media only want to show people who shout ’Kaffir’this and ‘Kaffir’ that. Whenever a Muslim talks about peace, it is shunned to one side, but when a Muslim does something contraversial, it is the top headline for the rest of the week. PATHETIC WESTERN MEDIA!!!

May Allah remove the hatred in our hearts, and enlighten our hearts with love for each other.
